On one hand I am excited by the way digital work can look, so slick, smooth, clean, lines, illustrator is amazing and on the other hand I am worried that if I dont pick up a pencil and draw manually I'll lose that talent that flair, I dont want my work to be flat, mass produced, plastic bullshit, I want the flaws, the no undo tool except for an eraser that using a pencil brings, however it is a double edged sword, I want to go digital and improve my skills that way however it seems ridiculously easy to make it look passable that I'm afraid I'll get lazy and my real drawing hand will get neglected, after all theres only so much I can do so much I can be inspired to do.
Thats another thing I seem to be retracking the same subjects over and over again like Im walking around in circles grinding the path ever deeper so much so that these subjects are all familiar and comfortable to me, but arent good artists meant to break out of their comfort zone, meant to change their style seamlessly and still make it look unique/good?
Stepping into the digital world is tantalising, like taking a first plunge, taking a first taste of something you know may change things, scary and exciting, I just dont want to become a robot. I dont want to go wholly digital. I want some uniqueness and differentiation, I dont want to be a clone, plasticity of the city.
